Two of its instructors have been allotted to the school by ILM. Communicative English classes were introduced into the regular weekly timetable and every section from Classes 3 to 9 will have two classes per week. Apart from taking Communicative English classes, the instructors build a culture in the school by various incentives that all the teachers and students use English language for normal oral transactions in the school. They take up various activities throughout the year to make the students participate very informally encouraging peer to peer conversations in English. Within two years the students picked up Communicative English skills and the school is receiving positive feedback from parents that their children are confidently conversing in English whenever there is a need.

MI KIDS Program for LKG, UKG and 1st standard kids

Brain activation that is happening for learning the mother tongue from birth to schooling age is missing in the child when it comes to learning the second language, viz., English. Under these circumstances, a combination of listening and vocalization seems to be the most biologically advantageous method of acquiring the second language to the children. SIP Academy India Pvt. Ltd. is promoting this technique through its MIKIDS program which is an interactive, colourful, visually appealing way of teaching English to pre-primary and 1st standard kids by way of stories, songs, drama and rhymes. It trains the children to speak with proper intonation and pronunciation. It also helps the children to improve their reading skills. Ramakrishna Mission school adopted this program for LKG, UKG and 1st standard kids for developing English language skills.

Science Laboratory

“Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think.”

– Albert Einsteen.

Learning by doing is the best method of acquiring knowledge. To meet the mandatory requirements, the school established the science laboratory with required experimental set-ups for Physical and Biological Sciences.

Learning science os not just disclosing things. There must be a necessity to take special care to avoid the practice of rote memorisation of scientific information. Child must be encouraged to think and work scientifically. So we created a learning environment in our laboratory to comprehend and appreciate the laws governing the nature through learning by doing. We provided an opportunity to each child to explore and apply scientific knowledge by doing experiments and activities on their own.
Laboratories are places where students conduct activities or perform other work relevant to their science subjects. Our laboratory contains specialized equipment to help with such work.

Our laboratory consists of a good range of equipment satisfying the needs of both upper primary and high school students in the subjects – physics, chemistry and biology. We are implimenting scheduled laboratory periods sao that the students understand the concepts clearly. The doubts and confusions are clarified by the concerned subject teacher by imparting a strong and quality subject knowledge to our students.

Science Exhibition

“Tell me, I’ll forget. Show me, I may remember. Involve me and I learn.”

– Benjaman Franklin.

Science is a great blessing to mankind. The world into which science came was a world of ignorance, suffering and hardship. Science has come to relieve us of suffering, to remove our ignorance and to lighten our toil. Science is a faithful servant of man.

Our school management took up the initiative for conducting science exhibitions in our school. The science teachers bear the responsibility of this mission. These exhibitions can encourage a healthy competition in the student community.

We are organising science exhibitions twice in a year to improve the analytical and expressive skills of the students in our school. With the help of these, students are able to analyse the scientific points which have relevance to daily life. Even the slow achievers are also enthusiastic to take part in these exhibitions. They may observe the local problems and find out the solutions that can suggest through these science exhibitions.

The students feel more fun and gain a thorough knowledge with the help of science exhibitions.
